I am Sajana Shah Thakuri from Lalitpur, Nepal. I got my bachelor degree in Nursing from Bangalore, India under Rajiv Gandhi University. During my bachelor level I went to different hospital exposure where I met many patients from different parts of India. The duties in hospital enabled me to learn more about the patients and plan for the care. I found out that they come to hospital only if their local remedies did not success and their beliefs which were deeply rooted inside them. Participating in polio eradication programme, Diabetes reduction programme during student life as well as the subject like community health nursing during my study, attached me more towards community. Working for fews months at hospital in Nepal and as a volunteer during earthquake, I choose to continue my study. I found MAHASSA programme which works mainly for South Asian countries. I belief through this study I can improve the health care facilities of local communities people.
